Macintosh software in the Archive at 17th October, 1990 TeX: OzTeX version 1.3 (i.e. version 3 of TeX) Andy Trevarrow's [tex-archive.tex.mac.oztex] too many files to name individually but includes unstuffit.hqx makeindex: [tex-archive.indexing.makeindex.mac]makeindex.hqx bibtex: version 0.99c [tex-archive.bibtex.mac]bibtex.hqx [tex-archive.bibtex.mac]bib.hqx metafont: Victor Ostromoukhov's [tex-archive.metafont.mac]metafont.hqx dvidvi: Tom Rokicki's [tex-archive.drivers.dvidvi.mac]dvidvi.hqx text1: Univ Washington [tex-archive.text1]text1.hqx in order to process an .hqx file, use unstuffit. there is a copy of unstuffit in the archive. although this itself is in .hqx format, all is not lost. if you have binhex4 it will turn unstuffit.hqx into an application which can then be used on any other .hqx file. These other .hqx files will turn into .sit files, which then unstuff into several apploications, folders and other bits and pieces. ok? if you have no binhex4, tough. unstuffit is freely available and may be distributed at will (but not with commercial or proprietary offerings). its big brother stuffit, is shareware at a mere $20. the new commercial stuffit classic is even better, but is about \quid65. of course, lots of other stuff in the archive is applicable. good luck
